It overcomes the gap between theories of reading and those of empirical reading research and locates literary reading in a transdisciplinary field. Diese Arbeit leistet einen wesentlichen Beitrag zu den Grundlagen der Leseforschung und eröffnet ein Diskussionsfeld, auf dem sich die Frage nach der Bedeutung des Lesens für die Literaturwissenschaft einerseits und die ästhetische Rezeption von Lesetexten andererseits neu stellt.
