Shrnutí:Aortic dissection is a devastating disease in which a tear occurs in the inner layer of the aorta due to various pathological conditions, especially congenital. Blood rushes through the tear, causing the inner and middle layers of the aorta to rupture. If blood passes through the external aortic wall, the aorta ruptures and becomes fatal. Significant progress is being made in genetic studies for prevention. An emergency approach is often required and must be performed with a multidisciplinary approach to the patient's outcome. A multidisciplinary approach is usually essential in emergencies to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. This requires a team that includes a cardiac surgeon, vascular surgeon, radiologist, and anaesthetist experienced in echocardiography. Cerebral protection is essential in surgical and endovascular procedures. This book explores several aspects of aortic dissection and discusses recent advances in diagnosis and treatment.
