Тойм:The subject of this monograph is to present some selected problems related to epoxy resin modification with a high degree of granularity fillers in the aim of application in bonding joints. The tests and analyses were conducted with a view to acquiring and broadening knowledge of vital importance in the process of designing and manufacturing bonding joints on the basis of epoxy resins, which were physically modified by adding layer silicate and spherical nanosilica. Except for the filler shape, introduced particles differed in size and production method. Furthermore the specific compositions were prepared using different mixing technologies. Experimental studies/research of compositions modified by fillers with a high degree of granularity covered not only mechanical, thermal and adhesive properties, but also the combustibility, and the study of the analyzed materials’ structure. The filler introduced into epoxy resin was assumed to advantageously affect the strength of bonding joints operated in high temperatures and the combustibility of adhesives modified in such a way. Moreover so as to obtain the complete evaluation of filler influence on defined properties, other properties of analyzed compositions were studied. Mixing methods of fillers with epoxy resins were also evaluated. Dissertation was finished with the discussion of results, conclusions and summary.
