| Shrnutí: | The volume, which collects 40 essays having Prehistory and Protohistory as their main topic, is configured as a tribute to the illustrious figure of Professor Enrico Atzeni, former Full Professor at the University of Cagliari and internationally renowned scholar, who passed away in December 2023. The work is divided into four sections, aimed at tracing, in a necessarily compendious form, the main themes and avenues of research pursued over the years by Enrico Atzeni: Material Productions of the Neolithic and Eneolithic facies, Symbolic Systems and Funerary and Cultic Practices in the Prehistoric Contexts of Sardinia and the Mediterranean, Transition Processes between the Eneolithic and the Bronze Age, and Architectures, Landscape and Material Culture in Sardinia and the Protohistoric Mediterranean. The Authors draw a rich and varied picture of the pre/protohistoric phases of Sardinia and the entire Mediterranean, with a view to the heartfelt and dutiful tribute to the one who, “investigating the past,” made a fundamental and indispensable contribution to the reconstruction of our ancient past. |
