| الملخص: | The 40th International Meetings of Archaeology and History have focused on the practices of human appearance from Prehistory to the present day throughout the world. This ambitious theme has brought forth a collection of scientific papers with multiples approaches and reflections emanating from archaeologists, prehistorians and historians, anthropologists, philosophers and artists. The art of human appearance was explored throughout the body, its modifications, envelopes and adornments ; in time, during the life cycle and at the moment of death ; in space, through images, artworks, static or moving representations. Based on eloquent examples, the multidisciplinary reading proposed in this book highlights forms of the extremely rich self-representations and attempts to grasp their socio-cultural meanings. |
