description This scoreboard of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia offers a new perspective on economic, social and political developments in a region of the world stretching from Prague to Vladivostok through Tallinn, Skopje, Bucharest or Bichkek. Twenty-nine countries are reviewed by twelve specialists coming from universities, consulting agencies or public administrations. Since the previous edition ofthe scoreboard (2014), new major developments have emerged. They are economic - fall and then recovery of hydrocarbon prices -, socio-political - growing rejection of corruption and the rise of euroscepticism and illiberalism -, and geopolitical - the Ukrainian conflict. Structured in two parts, entitled «Central and Eastern Europe» and «Eurasia» respectively, this book intends to shed light on these changes, helping to understand the singularities and similarities of the socio-economic trajectories of the countries of this region of the world.
