| Summary: | The textbook describes selected hybrid design techniques combining surface and solid modeling methods. The structure of the textbook consists of three main chapters presenting designs for geometrically advanced virtual 3D objects. The bottle opener design shows an elementary geometry verification method that analyzes the curvature distribution of individual curves. The design of a dryer case describes an advanced hybrid modeling technique. The last project presented in the manual discusses a modeling technique based on images of the actual object. The modeling process using computer-aided design is presented in the form of exercise examples. Each of them represents an algorithm describing the complete modeling process and can be reproduced by the reader. The content of the textbook allows to extend the hybrid modeling technique in CATIA V5 system. |
