| Sumari: | The handbook Personal and Professional Development of Managers of the Future presents the areas of knowledge and skills that are relevant to those managing organisations and teams. The study contains both a discussion of a wide range of factors that influence the possibilities and quality of development processes and a set of exercises that gradually allow not only to expand knowledge and self-awareness in these areas, but also to experience the individual development process. The first two chapters are devoted to presenting the essence of personal development and professional development, followed by the presentation of various concepts and notions that influence the effectiveness of the development activities undertaken. This is followed by a presentation of methods and tools for diagnosing development needs both in the context of one’s own work and in the context of support from professionals. A good diagnosis makes it possible to design a developmental system that is appropriate to the situation, which also finds its place in the handbook. As a separate issue, the role of communication in developmental processes is addressed, as well as issues related to shaping personal vulnerability and strengthening psychological resilience. The final element of development processes in professional contexts discussed is personal branding as a tool for the conscious shaping of career paths. |
