So distinct issues as the fascination and reinterpretation of former civilizations, tourism, cinema, conservative political movements, environmental disasters, labour precariousness or homeless populations, enable us to think about this new world that we are inhabiting and forging each day. Together, as it is systematized in the introduction, this collection supports our efforts to understand core changes taking place today and how global studies may develop creative and critical perspectives to intervene in such a complex and contradictory world |
