Riassunto:How can we think about law and rule/domination? The study addresses this question; delving into the philosophical; historical; theological and sociological foundations of the development of modern thinking on law and rule; among other topics. The study reconstructs and compares in an innovative way the understanding of law and rule of Bartolomé de Las Casas (1484-1566) with that of Max Weber (1864-1920). It provides a systematic; multidisciplinary view of the topic. The reader is guided through contemporary issues such as the relationship between legitimacy; ratio and rule or between natural law and positive law.
