In Italy, despite educational achievements, women face a sharp decline in opportunities upon entering adulthood, with persistent wage gaps and low employment rates. Gender stereotypes persist in families, schools, and media. Financial literacy among girls is particularly low, limiting their future independence. These disparities call for urgent, gender-sensitive policies to ensure equal opportunities from childhood onward. |
