الملخص:Recent studies on the relationship between economic inequality and social mobility highlight the significant role of measuring occupational mobility in understanding social mobility. The available data for the city of Verona enables the classification of professions using internationally recognized methodologies. Before presenting long-term trends in occupational mobility, this paper seeks to compare the Historical International Standard Classification of Occupations (HISCO) with the data collected from Verona's tax records. The goal is to develop a coding system tailored to the Italian context.
