The works of East and South Slavonic authors who used the technique of hymnographic borrowing are considered; the emphasis is placed on the works of Cyril of Turov, Epiphanius the Wise, and Gregory Tsamblak. This study analyzes which liturgical books and how often they were used as literary sources, as well as which verses or canons were most frequently quoted and for what reasons they attracted the interest of Church Slavonic authors. |
