| Riassunto: | The essay starts with an examination of narrative passages relating to school education in Pomo pero (Rizzoli, 1974), providing an analysis of their genesis and development, and of their relationship to the composition of Fiori italiani (Rizzoli, 1976). It then deals with Meneghello’s reading of some of those narrative sequences during a conference entitled Un argomento di scarso interesse, at the Institute of Italian Culture in London, on 25 October 1967 by investigating the preparatory documents preserved in Pavia. In the final section, the paper focuses on the books quoted by Meneghello in Pomo pero, in particular on the Sonetti of G. G. Belli. |
