| Riassunto: | This volume presents contributions by researchers from Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany. They address phenomena and processes of the culture of remembrance of the Reformation from the 16th to the 20th century in Eastern Central Europe, concentrating on striking examples. Topics such as historiography, the visual arts, literature, and architecture are addressed, as are manifestations of festival and memorial culture and their interactions with the respective political and religious circumstances. Geographically, the volume spans the region from Transylvania through Hungary, Slovakia, Bohemia, Silesia, Pomerania, Poland, and Prussia to the Baltic states and St. Petersburg. The multitude of questions addressed offers numerous possibilities for translation. This volume does not provide a summarizing summary, but rather aims to provide new inspiration for engaging with the reception of the Reformation in Eastern Central Europe. |
