Descripció
Sumari:After the 9th and before the 10th national conference on applied geochemistry in China hosted by the committee of applied geochemistry, Chinese Society for Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry (CSMPG), the new advances, challenges, and illustrations in applied geochemistry are gathered to form this Special Issue, which is within the section of Environmental and Earth Sciences. The Guest Editors of this Special Issue are Dr. Gong, a professor from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and Dr. Shi, a professor from Chengdu University of Technology. A total of 12 scientific papers have been published that capture various relevant and challenging issues in applied geochemistry. These articles cover to the following three broad groups: (i) geochemical exploration, including traditional and non-traditional exploration methods and determination methods for geochemical background values; (ii) environmental geochemistry, including risk assessment, provenance tracing, and the remediation of heavy metals; and (iii) basic applications in geology, including magmatism, mineralization, and tectonic thermal evolution etc. The innovative studies in this Special Issue presented have great application potential in the fields of resources, environments, and social services.
