| description | Sperm quality plays an important role in the successful fertilization and normal development of the embryo under natural conditions and in assisted reproductive technology. This Special Issue, ‘Animal Reproduction: Semen Quality Assessment, Volume II’, presents the latest scientific achievements in the use of modern diagnostic techniques to assess sperm quality in various animal species, aiming to improve reproductive performance in animals. This reprint presents several innovative studies focused on improving semen preservation technology, aspects of sperm analysis and storage in various animal species, and the physiological processes taking place in sperm structures. The studies presented are very promising and provide valuable information on the biology of the reproduction of mammals, reptiles, and fish. This is a continually developing area of research in which new techniques and research methods are being implemented and promoting improvements in animal production. |
