description Pulmonary hypertension is a major global health problem, affecting an estimated 1% of the world's population and is thought to be associated with a variety of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Regardless of the underlying disease, pulmonary hypertension is associated with worsening symptoms and increased mortality. However, substantial advances have been made in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension over the past decade. This Special Issue (SI) of the Journal of Clinical Medicine, entitled "Pulmonary Hypertension: Recent Advances in Diagnosis and Treatment," publishes review articles and original research related to the latest advances in surgical and medical treatment of pulmonary hypertension. We have included groundbreaking research articles of great clinical and scientific value, including observational studies, review articles, and clinical trials.
