الملخص:The Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) encompasses nine cities in Guangdong province, along with the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao. Going beyond the traditional “Greater Pearl River Delta” concept, it emphasizes looking outward, aiming to help China “go global” and demonstrate global economic leadership. As the region repositions itself as the Greater Bay Area, how can Hong Kong leverage its strengths to seize this opportunity? This volume brings together experts and scholars well-versed in both the Mainland and Hong Kong systems to analyze the development direction and collaborative strategies of the Greater Bay Area, offering specific, practical proposals. The authors call on Hong Kong, Macao, and the nine Guangdong cities to abandon single-jurisdiction thinking and instead embrace the transformation to a city-cluster development model. In addition, the book focuses on how Hong Kong can capitalize on its advantages in finance, innovation, technology, institutions, governance, professional talent, culture, and geographic location. Through infrastructure projects such as the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge, the city is poised to foster cross-border industrial cooperation and lead the GBA to become a hub of the Belt and Road Initiative.
