Negli ultimi anni, l’evoluzione delle tecnologie digitali e dell'informazione ha aperto nuove prospettive per l’ottimizzazione del Facility Management, con il BIM che si afferma come strumento particolarmente efficace per integrare discipline diverse all’interno di un unico ambiente digitale. Nonostante il suo potenziale, il conseguimento di un modello pienamente integrato, capace di connettere i sistemi BIM e FM, rappresenta ancora una sfida.
