From the perspective of the aviation industry, the author examines Hong Kong’s globalization and investigates how policymakers and business leaders, while safeguarding their own interests, worked with international partners and competitors to seek opportunities for socioeconomic benefits. In doing so, they negotiated their respective interests around Hong Kong’s economic success and clearly articulated their visions of modernity. |
