Therefore, when it comes to digital data, the concept of digital privacy inevitably comes with it. From this point of view, this study has been prepared considering the necessity of investigating digital privacy from the perspective of communication science. Published Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerindeki gelişmeler, kişilerin dijital verilerinin elde edilmesini ve bu verilerin kullanılmasını kaçınılmaz hale getirmektedir. Bu nedenle bireyler günlük hayatlarında veriler aracılığıyla bilgilerini paylaşmaktadırlar. Bu bilgilerin paylaşımıyla birlikte bilgi güvenliği ve gözetleme gibi konular gündeme gelmekte ve bireylerin mahremiyetlerini nasıl koruyabilecekleri hakkında endişeler doğmaktadır. Bu nedenle, dijital veriler söz konusu olduğunda dijital mahremiyet kavramı da kaçınılmaz olarak beraberinde gelmektedir.
