Vicki Baums Novellensammlung „Die andern Tage“, um deren Neuauflage die Autorin sich zeitlebens bemühte, erschien 1922 sowie in leicht veränderter Zusammenstellung 1931. Die acht Novellen der beiden Ausgaben präsentieren die Themen-, Stil- und Genrevielfalt aus Baums Frühwerk und ihren Produktionen der 1920/30er Jahre, welche bis in ihr Spätwerk im US-amerikanischen Exil weiterwirkte.
