Resumo:The book “Confidence and fears in contemporary Europe: networks, asylum and minorities” is in the scope of anthropic risks, in the social domain. Starting from a European scale, it presents eight case studies, carried out by authors from different areas (European Studies, International Relations, Law, Security, Geopolitics, etc.), in an interdisciplinary approach. The aim is to reflect and stimulate debate on the topic of mobility and (in)security, from the point of view of migration and migration policies, networks, borders, energy, minorities, geopolitics. This is a current and highly relevant topic, which is on the agenda of political speeches and public opinion. We hope to contribute to an enlightened and scientifically based debate, which may prove useful in elucidate political agents, academia and society in general.
