description The PSYCHOPATHY.COMP is an individual Compassion-based psychotherapeutic intervention specifically designed to reduce antisocial behavior and psychopathic traits through the promotion of a compassionate motivation. Because behavioral problems represent a large spectrum, the PSYCHOPATHY.COMP can be used with different populations, e.g., detained youth; youth with oppositional and defiant behavior not in contact with the Juvenile Justice System; prison inmates. Studies on the efficacy of the PSYCHOPATHY.COMP showed that this program was effective in reducing psychopathic traits, in promoting therapeutic engagement, and in promoting a compassionate motivation. Other studies on the efficacy of this program are ongoing/submitted for funding, namely: studies on the impact of the PSYCHOPATHY.COMP on criminal recidivism among detained youth; studies on the efficacy of the PSYCHOPATHY.COMP among prison inmates; studies on the efficacy of the PSYCHOPATHY.COMP among Finnish detained youth.
