Opis
Izvleček:This book presents paths of linkage between history and the diverse social and cultural representations of Mexicans, from the farmer, who is analyzed by way of different perceptions, to the self-advocacy of Mexican agrarians throughout the decade of the 1920’s. The teaching manuals of 1862 to 1908 are also reviewed as a way of understanding the essence of being Mexican. Also, the cultural representations generated from the urban space are shown, considering the specific case of the Jardín Núñez (Nuñez Garden) in the city of Colima during the presidency of Porfirio Diaz and the labor of engineers as the creators of representations of a rural Mexico that tried to be radically modified by the post-revolutionary governments is presented.
