| 要約: | Psychosocial health is little explored in Norwegian, both as a concept and as a field, and the book’s purpose is to bring the concept into a Norwegian academic tradition. The aim is to illuminate, explore, and critically discuss what the concept of psychosocial health can offer in terms of understanding complex health and life challenges. Through systematic knowledge development based on theoretical and empirical analyses, the book provides clearer meaning to the concept of psychosocial health and a direction for work in this area. The authors argue that many of today’s health and life challenges require a psychosocial framework to be addressed in ways that create a better society for all. The social aspects of—and consequences for—people’s mental health are particularly emphasized. The authors’ starting point is the academic environment at the Department of Psychosocial Health at the University of Agder, and they have a multidisciplinary approach, drawing on family therapy, public health, health sciences, mental health work, psychology, social medicine, social work, sociology, theology, and social education (vernepleie). |
