Descripció
Sumari:This book provides a comprehensive analysis of environmental and occupational safety regulations in Ecuador, highlighting progress and pending challenges. The methodology used includes environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and environmental management plans (EMPs) to mitigate the adverse effects of projects on the environment. The results highlight the effective implementation of regulations such as the Environmental Management Law and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, which have significantly improved labor practices and environmental protection in the country. However, challenges persist, such as labor informality and limited supervision and control capacity on the part of the authorities. The conclusions emphasize the importance of continuous training and the active participation of workers and communities to improve labor and environmental safety and sustainability. The final discussion underlines the need to adapt regulations to new realities, such as digitalization and telework, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability in all sectors.
