Özet:Cities become lived and meaningful places through the actions of both human and more-than-human inhabitants, and through tangible and intangible features. While cities are subject to planning and regulation, they are also continuously made and shaped through everyday practices—such as inhabiting, caring for domestic environments, moving within urban spaces, and articulating lived experiences into stories and narratives that contribute to public urban culture. This book brings together scholars from the humanities and social sciences, offering a multidisciplinary inquiry into the diverse processes through which contemporary urban environments are formed and reformed. The volume calls for a broad understanding of urban placemaking, emphasizing the need to understand how human and more-than-human constitute and influence urban development. The chapters are divided into four thematic groups: belonging, everyday life, language and memory. These are approached through a variety of methods and concepts.
