Summary:The Ecuadorian Amazon represents an ecosystem of extraordinary global importance, concentrating an incredible biodiversity in only 2% of the surface of the Amazon basin. This region is home to unique ecosystems and endemic species that make up an incomparable natural heritage. Ecotourism or nature tourism emerges as an innovative strategy for conservation and sustainable development, seeking to balance environmental preservation, economic development and cultural respect. This model of service and economy not only protects habitats and species, but also generates monetary opportunities and development for local communities. However, the road to sustainable ecotourism faces significant challenges, such as limited infrastructure, lack of training and the effects of climate change. In this context, digital technologies and marketing strategies become fundamental tools to promote responsible and conscious tourism. Overall, this production invites a deep reflection on our relationship with natural ecosystems, proposing a development model that respects cultural integrity and preserves one of the most valuable natural heritages of the planet.
