Beskrivelse
Summary:This study explores the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Ecuadorian companies through the analysis of written sources, with the objective of identifying patterns and challenges in its adoption. The research was based on a qualitative approach, using documentary analysis of business reports, government policies and academic publications. The results reveal that the adoption of CSR in Ecuador varies according to company size and sector, being more formal in large corporations, especially multinationals, while small and medium-sized companies tend to implement more informal and limited practices. In addition, the main areas of focus were the social and environmental dimensions, although a lack of clear tools to measure the impact of these initiatives was identified, which limits their long-term sustainability. Based on these findings, it is concluded that it is necessary to develop accessible mechanisms for measuring the impacts of CSR and to promote its integration into corporate strategy, which can also improve the competitiveness of Ecuadorian companies in international markets.
