Zusammenfassung:The study addresses the problem of the lack of motivation of first year high school students at the Andrés F. Córdova Educational Unit. Factors such as lack of learning opportunities, family problems, and unattractive teaching methods affect their well-being and performance. The research was carried out with a mixed approach, applying closed surveys to 52 students and interviews to teachers and authorities. The results show that 73.1% of the respondents considered support among the educational community to be fair, and 51% of the students expressed low motivation for extracurricular activities. Despite the positive perception of the sports facilities, a high percentage of students do not use the laboratory, which reflects a possible lack of integration of this resource in the educational process. The research concludes that the implementation of an action plan that addresses these critical areas can improve motivation, academic performance and the school environment, with the active support of the educational community.
