Omschrijving
Samenvatting:The integration of digital technologies in rural areas of Ecuador has revealed an important problem: the lack of technological literacy among the inhabitants. This study addresses the need for digital literacy in these areas, given that its absence prevents full inclusion in an increasingly digitalized society. Through a systematic review of 20 relevant documents obtained from databases such as Google Academic and Redalyc, five key areas are identified: the persistent digital divide, the importance of accompaniment by tutors, the development of digital skills, technological accessibility and digital literacy. . The results showed that digital literacy is essential for the comprehensive development of these communities, since it allows appropriate use of technologies, facilitates access to information and improves job opportunities, contributing to social inclusion. In comparison with previous studies, it will be observed that the technological gap in rural areas not only restricts access to digital resources, but also accentuates inequality compared to urban areas, which underlines the urgency of implementing educational programs aimed at closing this gap.
