description This Reprint compiles recent advances in the understanding and prevention of ischemia–reperfusion injury, a major challenge in modern medicine affecting organs such as the brain, heart, liver, kidney, and lung. This collection highlights the complex interplay between oxidative stress, inflammation, and metabolic imbalance, offering a comprehensive view of current experimental and translational strategies aimed at reducing tissue damage after reperfusion. The contributions in this Reprint explore novel antioxidant and anti-inflammatory approaches, ranging from natural compounds and molecular inhibitors to metabolic interventions and epigenetic modulation. Studies include the use of marine bioactive extracts, the modulation of redox-sensitive signaling pathways, extracellular vesicle-mediated protection, microRNA targeting, intermittent fasting, and complement inhibition. Together, these studies illustrate a paradigm shift from isolated antioxidant therapies toward integrated, multimodal strategies that combine redox control with immune and metabolic regulation. This Reprint provides valuable insights for researchers and clinicians seeking innovative approaches to mitigate ischemia–reperfusion injury across different organ systems and experimental models.
