| description | With the impacts of global climate change and increasing human activities, water security has become a key issue constraining economic and social development, as well as ecological protection. To help address these challenges, the China Water Forum, as an important academic platform, has long regarded water security as a major topic and collaborated with the journal Water to establish the Special Issue “China Water Forum 2024”. A total of nine articles have been included in this Special Issue. These articles focus on topics related to climate change, human–water relationships, and water security. The research includes analyses of hydrological processes and their responses to climate change, examinations of balanced human–water interactions in water resource development and use, and innovations in water security governance strategies. The Reprint serves as a valuable resource for researchers working on water-related studies, policymakers formulating water management strategies, and practitioners engaged in water resource protection and utilization. |
