الملخص:Infections are estimated to be the leading source of economic losses in livestock globally, having the largest influence on animal growth performance (such as intestinal and respiratory infections) or fertility (pathogens that can cause reproductive abnormalities). Moreover, some viruses and bacteria can cause zoonotic diseases, endangering both human and animal health. Epidemiological studies and continuous surveillance are crucial for gaining fresh insights into the features and the status of infections. This Special Issue has focused on the epidemiology of pathogens with an impact on the livestock industry (including, but not limited to molecular and serological investigations), as well as original research that has provided an overview of advances in the prevention and control of infectious diseases in livestock such as cattle, small ruminants, pigs, buffalo, and others.
