Riassunto:An analysis of the main challenges standing between Latin America and equitable development. Nine years after the adoption of the 2030 Agenda by the United Nations General Assembly, international politics faces abundant challenges that pose a risk to the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This period has been defined by structural obstacles to development, rising inequality, threats to democracy, obstructions to international cooperation, a global pandemic, armed conflicts, and interstate wars. Latin America is profoundly affected by these dynamics, but also encounters specific challenges. In this context, the selection of articles collected in this volume analyzes these issues through the lens of international relations, especially security and regionalism, considering the interaction between local and global factors.
