Summary:Female Genital Mutilation (legal and political term) / female circumcision (recommended term when addressing those affected) impacts many thousands of girls and women in Norway. Therefore, authorities, researchers, affected individuals, organizations, and educational institutions have become engaged in addressing this issue. This book provides these stakeholders with research-based knowledge to enhance understanding, support, and inspiration in efforts to prevent and avert female circumcision, as well as to ensure that girls and women who have been subjected to it receive the necessary support and assistance.
