By addressing the transformation of sacred spaces across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia from multiple disciplinary perspectives, the book investigates the preservation of religious heritage, the reconstruction of places of worship destroyed during the Soviet period, and the large-scale construction of new religious buildings.
