要約:This volume collects the reflections of jurists, isiders, and other social scientists presented at a seminar on Italian Football held on May 22, 2024, at the Department of International and Political Sciences of the University of Siena, as part of the “Sienese Sports Days” event. From the 1980 ‘Totonero” scandal to the recent “Super League” affair, the Country’s most popular sport has been cyclically rocked by scandals and riven by tensions that have called into question its viability as a self-regulating system. The scholars involved, each from their own perspective, take stock of some of these events, highlighting critical issues and proposing lines of investigation, in search of a more peaceful modus vivendi for what remains – despite everything – the beautiful game.
