description This volume offers an in-depth and original perspective on the migratory experiences of women with foreign citizenship in the Republic of San Marino. Starting from a quantitative overview of the phenomenon and an analysis of historical data as well as the legal and social context, Patrizia Di Luca reconstructs the complexity of life trajectories that characterize contemporary female migration. The result is a plural and nuanced narrative, far from stereotypical representations, which highlights the contribution of migrant women to the country’s development, while also shedding light on the critical issues and contradictions that shape the migratory experience in San Marino, making the process of inclusion still fragile. The volume is complemented by two contributions by Francesca Panozzo, which examine the services provided to migrant women in San Marino and in the Emilia-Romagna region.
