| Résumé: | This volume focuses on the activity of the Borini construction company, founded in the second half of the nineteenth century and active in Turin until the beginning of the XXI century, relating its events to the national framework and following its activity in prefabrication, between Northern Italy and Calabria. The study explores the Borini 1 and Borini 2 construction systems, developed by Borini, once the use of the French Barets system was overcome. Borini 2 was applied at the University of Calabria, where, in the 1970s-1980s, Borini's work was part of an experiment, promoted by the designer Massimo Pica Ciamarra, on the relationship between the universality of the rules of industrialized construction and the peculiarities of the architectural work. |
