Descripció
Sumari:What does Tunja sound like? To wind, to rain, to conversations, to the countryside, to wildlife, to celebration, to the echoes of the imagined city. The sound of the Boyacá capital evokes history and childhood memories, harbors the hope of its people, conveys its culture, and restores the notion of time on a Sunday afternoon. Sounds define and characterize places; their perception is another element of the urban imaginaries that are constructed from the senses and that allow us to understand the identity bonds that humans establish with their environment. Echoes of the Imagined City: Sound Perceptions in Tunja presents the third and final phase of the project "Notions of Territory: city, map, and imaginary" by the XISQUA Research Group of the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism at the University of Boyacá, an adventure undertaken to discover the sensory landscape of Tunja.
