Zusammenfassung:In recent years, numerous reference books discussing the Belt and Road Initiative have been published in both Hong Kong and mainland China. Many of these analyze the topic in terms of broad national directions and macro-policies. By focusing strictly on the global landscape, such works can easily lack a clear central focus. The authors of this book have chosen to take a different approach—exploring the initiative through the lens of Hong Kong's professional services. Tailored specifically for Hong Kong readers, this book provides a comprehensive explanation of the crucial content covered by the Belt and Road. The book is divided into two parts. The first part focuses primarily on the strategic relationship between the Belt and Road and Hong Kong. Within the framework of quasi-public goods, it explains how this national development strategy can achieve sustainable growth and deliver tangible benefits to the public. The second part highlights the specific roles Hong Kong can play. By focusing on areas where Hong Kong has long-established advantages—such as international financing, credit rating, and arbitration/mediation—it illustrates how Hong Kong can connect with other cities in the Greater Bay Area. This monograph serves as an excellent reference for Hong Kong residents and investors, while also offering valuable insights for government departments and scholars in mainland China. Furthermore, it is suitable as a reference textbook for courses on the Belt and Road national development strategy offered by universities and research institutions.
