Descripció
Sumari:The present volume of the series 'Eurasiatica. Quaderni di Studi su Balcani, Anatolia, Iran, Caucasus and Central Asia" is entirely dedicated to the Central Asian and Caspian area. The aim of the volume is to capture and return to the reader a part of the significant institutional, political and economic transformations that are affecting the Central Asian area. Far from addressing only area scholars, the book is based on the assumption that looking at Central Asia helps to understand dynamics that transcend the region's borders, that is, to frame processes and trends that characterise the post-bipolar international system and the broader coexistence in the Eurasian space. Intercepting and representing these dynamics and themes is the purpose of this volume, which - against the backdrop of the growing Italian institutional and entrepreneurial interest in the area - aims not secondarily at outlining the interests and priorities for action of the Country System in relations with Central Asian and Caspian interlocutors.
