| Riassunto: | The present book, which corresponds to number six of the collection dedicated to the urban history of Tunja, addresses the period of the city's expansion between 1990 and 2005. The author places this stage in the context of the influence of neoliberalism in the region. Precisely within the political history of the country, in the 1990s, Colombia experienced a significant change in its economic and social policies, marking a period of openness and encouragement of foreign investment, as well as the promotion of free trade with the aim of fostering healthy competition in the markets. Additionally, privatization processes were carried out in crucial sectors such as telecommunications and energy, with the intention of improving their efficiency. |
