Descripció
Sumari:Although there are previous publications on mastology, with topics that should be addressed by specialized doctors in the field, it was necessary to create a book with approach content and clear and sufficient elements for general practitioners, in order to facilitate proper clinical guidance, diagnosis, management, and timely referral. Objective: To evaluate the content of the book "Mastology for Non-Mastologist Physicians" using the Texas Textbook Evaluation Tool (T-TET), to adapt and validate the T-TET measurement instrument cross-culturally, and to assess the characteristics of the book's content in order to prepare the second edition based on the identified results. Methodology: To achieve the evaluation of the book, a process of adaptation and transcultural validation of the T-TET was carried out, followed by a narrative review of each included chapter, based on a search strategy grounded in keywords and the use of different boolean operators, within a specific time frame and across various scientific databases. Results: The T-TET instrument and the book "Mastology for Non-Mastologist Physicians" were validated, evaluated, updated, and found to be consistent with the results of the content evaluation.
