| Whakarāpopototanga: | This volume brings together texts from the seventh and eighth editions of the Conference Cycle From Manuscript to Printed and Electronic Book, held at the Department of Languages and Cultures of the University of Aveiro. This initiative, focused on the vast and multidisciplinary field of Publishing Studies, aims to promote reflection and debate on books, publishing and the many practices and processes associated with them. It is aimed particularly at students of the Bachelor's Degree in Languages and Publishing Studies and the Master's Degree in Publishing Studies, although it is open to anyone interested in the history, materiality and transformations of the publishing world. In order to broaden the scope of this debate, every two editions of the Cycle, to organise a printed and digital volume that brings together the studies of the speakers, contributing to the advancement and dissemination of research in Publishing Studies, a particularly dynamic field, constantly being updated, in which different areas of knowledge from the social and human sciences, information science, book history, digital humanities, among other areas, converge. |
