Die organisatorischen Anforderungen an eine fehlerfreie und effektive Versorgung der Patienten innerhalb eines Großklinikums sind hoch: Trotz aller Bemühungen um eine Verbesserung der Prozessqualität und Etablierung von Risikomanagement- und Reportingsysteme besteht der allgemein Eindruck, dass die Abläufe und kommunikativen Herausforderungen nach wie vor - noch dazu ob des gewachsenen Einflusses des ökonomischen Faktors - fehleranfällig sind: im Zweifel zum Schaden der Patienten.
