description This definitive study investigates the variations in educational mobility of Turkish second-generation immigrants in France, Austria and Sweden. The findings show that differences are most pronounced in the Austrian education system, can be seen clearly in France and are least pronounced in Sweden. Schnell underscores the importance of both individual characteristics and institutional ones, but the institutional arrangements of education systems are found to matter more for the outcome of this mobility process.

2021-02-10T13:21:49Z 2021-02-10T13:21:49Z 2014-12-31 23:55:55 2020-01-30 13:43:12 2020-04-01T14:39:13Z 2014 book 508001 OCN: 890914448 http://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33294 https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/28178 eng open access image/jpeg image/jpeg image/jpeg https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/33294/1/508001.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/33294/1/508001.pdf https://library.oapen.org/bitstream/20.500.12657/33294/1/508001.pdf Amsterdam University Press 10.26530/oapen_508001 10.26530/oapen_508001 de2ecbe7-1037-4e96-8c3a-5a842d921e04 Austrian Science Fund 26ae1657-c58f-4f1d-a392-585ee75c293e Austrian Science Fund (FWF) 280 PUB 179 open access
